Kirsten's 5th Birthday Party, Sat. Oct. 11, 2008

After a lot of negotiating with our 5 year old daughter, she settled for a princess/prince party at our house with cousins and a couple girlfriends (not the whole pre-k class of about 40 kids). For about 9 months, Kirsten has talked about her birthday party and who she was inviting in her class and who she wasn't inviting depending on the day. I also hear everyday who has invited/uninvited her to their birthday party that day. It is kind of sad this starts soooo young. She agreed to only inviting family if we could get a bounce house and have a princess party so we rented the bounce house and planned our princess/prince party sending out invitation to every cousin and a couple girlfriends. Little did we know if would be 30-40 degrees outside and snowing the night before. So we ended up canceling the bounce house and just playing games inside.
She also ended up sick the night before with a cold that developed quickly into croup, thank goodness I work at a pediatricians office so we had prescriptions on hand and sent Dad out to get them filled at 1 in the morning. Soooo after a long night of no sleep, she said she felt great in the morning and wanted to continue her birthday celebration (what kid wouldn't)!!

Here is the princess getting her hair done by Aunt Jessica!!
What a beautiful princess!!
Kirsten and Hunter hitting the crown pinata!!
Here is Kirsten running outside with her key to her new 4 wheeler!! Here is Wyatt showing her how it works, she was so excited!!

Kirsten and her birthday cake!! What a big 5 year old!!

Here she is the next day trying out her new 4 wheeler with her helmet from 10 years ago, guess we should get a new one it looks a little small!!

Such a fun birthday party! And WOWWEE on the gift. Happy Birthday Kirsten!

Has your husband never seen Funniest Home Videos where every dad who holds the pinata gets wacked in the... ??? That picture made me really laugh.

Kirsten is such a cute girl. Come over some time and bring the crew.

Kelli,
You always know how to throw a great party, never miss a detail. And a princess pary??? How fun (for you) I will never know what that is like. Caleb's birthday is next week and he has a skull pinata and Sawyer's birthday is next month and he wants a football pinata. No tiara pinata for us!!!!
Love it!!!!
